HFDM®-1 (human fibroblast)
Chemically defined medium for culturing human normal dermal fibroblast. (HNDF). This is a serum free complete medium and Fibroblast cultured with this medium under serum free condition can proliferate as well as DMEM supplemented with 10% serum. Although not necessary, for greater expansion, serum can be used but would need less (0.5 - 2%) compared to conventional methods. As an alternative to conventional serum used as a nutrient, xeno-free and animal-free cell culture booster called Artificial Serum is available for improved expansion and proliferation. It is specifically for use with serum free complete culture medium, thus provide researchers an option for a complete serum-free system.
